I am looking for software engineers who are not white males and would be willing to volunteer to record a short (30-seconds) video about why ethics is important in their professional practice. It's for our first-year Computer Science students. I have the white male videos sorted, and would like a more diverse group. If you would like to help, get in touch with me here. Thank you! :)

For today's #ThickTrunkTuesday, I have a very special tree.
This is an ancient hornbeam tree that is about 700 yrs old.
It looks like two trees, but it's actually a single tree that has begun to compartmentalise in the latter part of its life. I explain more about this below.
I'd love to go back to shoot this again in the fog. Here's hoping things align the next time I have an opportunity to get up to this remarkable forest.
Hello, I am a friendly person who enjoys coffee, photography, and cat pictures a lot. I am obsessed with stationery items, especially with fountain pens. I am also an assistant professor of computing science but I am planning to share more of personal stuff here (and occasionally a bit of work updates perhaps) when I have time. This is my belated #introduction
Reply guys who mention something irrelevant to your post should be called βScope creepsβ
Iβm Adam, an indie developer living in Louisville, KY. Iβm building omg.lol because the internet needs more spaces focused on fun and kindness, and thatβs the kind of stuff that I want to build. I also love interactive fiction and hanging out on IRC (so, yeah, I basically love words on screens π ). #introduction
I went out in the backyard to watch and photograph the full moon rising on February 5, 2023. I used various settings to get different light and color...this was one of my favorites. A tad bit spooky but beautiful at the same time.

With translucent, jewel-colored ears, Glass Gem Corn was developed by Carl Barnes, a part-Cherokee farmer and breeder from Oklahoma. Barnes crossed several traditional corn varieties and saved seed from the most vivid, translucent kernels. It was gifted to Native Seeds Search by Bill McDorman, who acquired it from Barnes' student Greg Schoen following Barnes' death.
A flint variety, it is used for making flour or as a popping corn.
