Sri Lankans set off firecrackers on certain holidays. Firecrackers are all noise and smoke and fire hazard, no pretty lights, and enough would be set off to produce a thick haze and keep us awake for hours since they were so loud.

@helplessduck @HollowNotion I make actual bread to eat. I haven't in a few weeks - my knees have been acting up and I've barely been able to walk. But I can walk somewhat without assistance again, so I'm back to cooking, and in a few days, making bread. Had to buy bread, but seriously prefer my own. It's so much better!

I should post more food photos. I don't do that like I used to.

I really want to internalize this. I don't owe attractiveness to other people. I don't have to justify my existence outside of the house with prettiness.

It was interesting to see how he modified his hover technique to work on a flower that’s mostly upright. Also liked the nice soft light.
