What a difference — I wake up today to 50 posts in my filtered home timeline on Tusker vs. 380 posts in my unfiltered Akkoma web interface home timeline 🙂

Well, this certainly is working. But I think I need a few more tweaks — for one, filtering out hashtags I’m following from the home timeline and for another, possibly showing filtered items as compact cards (like what most clients allows you to do for filtered keywords) instead of simply removing the item altogether.

Hopefully, I’m done at that point 😛

Now that I’ve got actually functional lists (not ones which duplicate content on the home timeline), I am going a bit crazy creating lists 😛

Originally, I thought I’d only have one list for people who generate a lot of content. But then I realized that I can actually create lists for people who create different types of content (mostly) — a jokes list for humour; an arts list for photographers, artists, and so on …

This is getting a lot more complicated but also a lot more organised 🙂

Friend took me down to Santa Cruz for the day. I got some nice photos with phone camera.

Yesterday's #StableDiffusion prompt was: "Secret forest with hidden nooks" or "Fantasy forest with hidden nooks" ... I did some for each 🙂

These were done using multiple different models and different resolutions and so there's quite a range to the images.

I liked the results so much that I'll probably be doing a few more of this over the next few days ... Or, variations thereof.

I spent some of today looking for big old trees. I found a glut of them, but struggled to turn the most interesting of them into photographs. Mental note made of their locations, though - so I will be returning!

So, once I got the CoreData stuff out of the way, implementing List filtering for Tusker turned out to be very simple 🙂

Now, I can create multiple lists, add users I follow to those lists and then have the posts and boost by list members be filtered out from my home timline. I tell you, it feels great already 😀

There are a few gotchas — I have unread post counts implemented for the home timeline and that doesn’t take the filtered posts into account. So I have to fix that. And there is the possibility that replies to people on lists might still appear on the home timeline. But both of those should hopefully be easy to fix …

So, once all that is done and working fine, if anybody would like to try out this flavour of Tusker and you are on iOS/macOS let me know and I’ll put up build somewhere? TestFlight maybe?
