I got a suggestion to use hashtags to help kickstart my network here. So here's a hashtag-dense list of my interests:
I'm a data-focused #machinelearning engineer at #Apple, working with #PyTorch, #Spark, and #Python which I write with a #Haskell accent. I used to work in #LearningTheory.
I enjoy long distance #running and #trailrunning and am training for my first #ultramarathon.
In my spare time I make electronic #ModularSynth/#Eurorack music and am learning #JazzPiano and the #GameOfGo.
Sometimes it seems lonely over here on Mastodon but I’m plugging away, looking for good accounts to follow to keep up with what is going on.
SUGGESTIONS ON ACCOUNTS TO FOLLOW WILL BE WELCOMED. To that end Reblogging this post would help.
Thank you to the handful of accounts that follow me.👋🏽
For #throwbackthursday, one of my best shots from before I joined Mastodon – a male blackbird on an autumn morning.
The sky reflecting off the wet asphalt makes it look like a studio shot, and the unseasonably-green plant looks sort of fake too – so much so that I'm inclined to dislike this shot because it just looks staged? Knowing that it isn't, though, I'm really happy with it.

#introduction I am an assistant professor at the University of Amsterdam in the Amsterdam Machine Learning Lab (https://amlab.science.uva.nl/).
My research interests span approximate inference, computational statistics, causality, and their application to the sciences.
Currently working on diffusion models, generative flow networks, molecular dynamics, statistical hypothesis testing, variational methods, Monte Carlo methods... #ml #machinelearning #statistics #academic #research
Hello everyone! I am a #PhD student in #CS at #UCL. I am interested in #AI and #ML. I am also interested in #mathematics and #statistics!
I am into #graphs and Gaussian processes. I am also curious about geometric deep learning, probabilistic modelling and interpretable models.
I'm really looking forward to meeting new people here!

Let's hope many insect neuroscientists working in #Drosophila, #mosquito and other critters apply.
Contact Chris Potter of #Anopheles mosquito research fame http://potterlab.johnshopkins.edu/ for an insider view of how it is to run an insect neuro lab there.

I'm still looking for a job! Please help me with this however you can! I'm doing what I can on my end, but recommendations/referrals do help a lot!
Entry level would be best, I don't have enough work experience for most places to look at me mid-level. DM for a resume or any questions, take a look at my site for some examples of things I do!

Thanks so much for all of y'all's continued support!

Hey all, I'm still looking for C++ software engineering jobs~ Mainly on Linux but i'm flexible, Ideally remote or on the west coast.
I can also do Python, and FPGA stuff, or Hardware/PCB design too, but SE is my main skill set. Feel free to DM me~
Or email me at aki@ <my handle> .net (lethalbit)
Re-notes appreciated~
Glenn Seaborg’s team at Lawrence Berkeley Lab in California discovered over 10 chemical elements. He was said to be the only person whose address could be written only with the names of ‘their’ elements: Seaborgium, Lawrencium, Berkelium, Californium, Americium.
