I'm a bit of an eclectic mess ๐Ÿ™‚ I've been a programmer, journalist, editor, TV producer, and a few other things.

Love mobile development, AR/VR/XR, and all forms of digital creativity where you use AI to generate art, text, and music.

Behind hedges and overgrowth, lies the Cimetiรจre des Lรฉgendes. A collection of 1950s/1960s French cars, rusting and falling apart as decades pass.

FYI all my photos have a supporting blog article and additional photos on my website. Although I may not always include it with every toot, if you want a link let me know and I will share it.

You can check out more cars and read the for this one over here https://www.obsidianurbexphotography.com/leisure/cimetiere-des-legendes-lost-panhard-france/

The macaws are such beautiful and colorful birds. This bluebird of happiness, a Hyacinth Macaw, was eating his veggies when I snapped his picture. Added a little texture to highlight his beautiful plumage. HERE: https://hhphotography.pixels.com/featured/hyacinth-macaw-hh-photography-of-florida.html

It looks like it's time for me to do another #introduction since the husband @fahim and I are on a new instance that's just for us. He's been dabbling with various ones for the last month, but we think we're settled. This one is #akkoma, not #mastodon, and if you have technical questions, ask him.

I'm working on becoming an artist, hence all the artwork and tutorial posts. I mainly do digital on my iPad using Procreate, and at some point soon want to learn how to use Rebelle.

I cook just about everything, but less so as my #disabled self loses mobility. I've lived in a bunch of countries. I'm a hobbyist photographer. I'm a Canuck and I'm married to a Sri Lankan who I met over the Internet. And I've been on the Internet since before it was called the Internet.

I am equal parts weird, boring, tired, eclectic, and what the heck.

Hiya!

Mark Tisdale Art ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ

Cats have only recently become a favorite art subject of mine but it only makes sense as there's never been a time in my life that cats weren't part of my world. I think this kitty is perhaps serenading the moon - what do you think?

Sun Flower
The sun is backlighting this yellow zinnia. I took this picture laying down on the ground, looking up.

@snott Yep ๐Ÿ™‚ And a lot of things that other people find great, I find to be not just for me. So I just have to know if it was that bad, or if they missed something ๐Ÿ˜›

@snott Didn't watch "1899" but I did hear that it got cancelled and at least one person I follow hated the ending because there was no resolution ๐Ÿ˜›

Just went through BetaSeries to remind me of other stuff that we liked that we watched recently. Another good one (but definitely subtitled) was "Suzhal" (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt20873118) on Prime. That particular director duo do good stuff ... at least comparatively.

"The Recruit" on Netflix started out good but got progressively stupid, just like the protagonist. So wouldn't really recommend unless you're curious as to if it holds up โ€” which is something I do when people say something is bad, I watch it anyway to see if it really is ๐Ÿ˜›

"Irreverent" was good. Australian/American collaboration and we loved it. That is the last one that I can actually remember watching and loving ... but had to look up in BetaSeries to remember ...

@snott Somewhat like "Kaleidoscope" but not done watching it and so don't know if it sucks at the end ๐Ÿ™‚ Liked "Wednesday" but it sucked very hard at the end ... That's all I recall from Netflix recently ...

But if you want non-Netflix stuff ... my biggest issue is that I forget most of the stuff we've watched after a few days ... We liked "Jack Ryan" (on Prime) but maybe you don't like that sort of stuff?

If you want non-US/non-Western stuff then there's a bunch of good stuff out of India that we enjoyed but at least some of it might be subtitles only. One good example is "The Family Man" (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9544034) ... sort of an Indian Jack Ryan if you will ๐Ÿ™‚

This is my own personal photo of the year 2022
After all the problems I had last week I never imagined I would still be alive to capture this rainbow. I deliberately made sure my shadow was in the image to give a sense of scale

This is another Tatyworks tutorial. I'm really enjoying doing her tutorials. She uses interesting techniques and I learn a lot.

I went a bit off the rails with the flowers. ๐Ÿคฃ If this were my window, I would want a LOT more flowers, so I gave the painting what I would want. I don't think it was too overboardโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜€

Lower Antelope Canyon II
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. But what do you do when you are speechless? As you walk down the stairs that descend into Lower Antelope Canyon, you can tell that you are entering a very special place. There was a certain spiritual kind of feeling that came over me that I can't explain.
The walls of this canyon are unbelievably beautiful. See full image here: https://fineartamerica.com/featured/lower-antelope-canyon-ii-bill-gallagher.html?newartwork=true

I've put pen to paper once again to write an article about Ke'e beach on Kauai. Perfect for thinking of something a bit warmer than our current winter conditions! You can find the article here: https://www.backyardimage.com/kee-beach-the-end-of-the-earth/
