I'm a bit of an eclectic mess πŸ™‚ I've been a programmer, journalist, editor, TV producer, and a few other things.

I'm currently working on my second novel which is complete, but is in the edit stage. I wrote my first novel over 20 years ago but then didn't write much till now.

I post about #Coding, #Flutter, #Writing, #Movies and #TV. I'll also talk about #Technology, #Gadgets, #MachineLearning, #DeepLearning and a few other things as the fancy strikes ...

This weekend we had our national birdcount... Somewhere between 150-200 thousand people count their garden birds and report their results. One shocking outcome is the sharply decreasing number of beautiful like this one...

I don't have time to send individual messages, so please forgive me for resorting to a round robin.

"What big eyes you have!"

Taken in Spain, this is a lovely Collared Pratincole. While it appears to be taking a drink of water, it may also be foraging for waterborne insects.

It was dawn at the Avon Pier on North Carolina's Outer Banks. The sun had not yet reached the horizon but was already casting it's orange glow as the sky began to lighten. Each morning is unique in it's own way!

Captain Paul Watson of the Sea Shepherd used this beautiful photo, taken by Nima Sarikhani at Svalbard, Norway, to go with his poem "The Passing of the Bear," which can be found here: https://www.all-creatures.org/poetry/ar-passing-bear.html

This soft pastel bird portrait is one of my more whimsical pieces from last year's portfolio. I call it 'Curious Ostrich' because I think it fits the expression on the bird's face.

See this artwork in my online gallery at https://mm-anderson.pixels.com/featured/curious-ostrich-mm-anderson.html or one of the other sites in my profile.

This is one of my favourite wildlife photos that I've taken so far. It's a young crow from spring 2021. The crow was quite content to sit on a branch and observe their surroundings while I photographed them.

@Miteroni Wow! That’s a lot for a month you took off writing πŸ™‚ Unless of course, you didn’t write the stuff you published in January … in that case, my bad.

You should do this kind of thing more often since I had no idea you had all this stuff there for reading. Going to go bookmark them so that I can read over the weekend. Or maybe have a pinned post on your profile with ongoing stuff you’re writing and perhaps a brief summary so that people know what you’re writing right now?

It’s the descriptions you had above which piqued my curiosity β€” hence the suggestion of a summary in a pinned post πŸ™‚
