I'm a bit of an eclectic mess πŸ™‚ I've been a programmer, journalist, editor, TV producer, and a few other things.

I'm currently working on my second novel which is complete, but is in the edit stage. I wrote my first novel over 20 years ago but then didn't write much till now.

I post about #Coding, #Flutter, #Writing, #Movies and #TV. I'll also talk about #Technology, #Gadgets, #MachineLearning, #DeepLearning and a few other things as the fancy strikes ...

// Hiking the distinctive jagged peaks of the way up north in 's was an experience I'll never forget.

Along with 4 of my best mates we hiked the wild, desolate, alpine meadows and loose, rocky slopes of the peaks surrounding , always in the shadow of the dominating form of Mt. Tombstone.

You know people who call this stuff duck tape? These are the people to blame.

Photo taken a few years ago in Valencia, Spain. No idea what kind of tree this is, although Siri labels it as either a chinaberry tree or poison hemlock, which is not a tree, so I'm guessing chinaberry tree is likely the correct one.

This creek tumbles down from near the top of the Continental Divide until it reaches Clear Creek. I liked the curving lines of how the water flowed through the blocking rocks this little area.

Driftwood Sunrise! Another shot from my recent visit to Hatteras Island on North Carolina's Cape Hatteras National Seashore. It never disappoints.

Someday you will meet someone who laughs at all your jokes. Do not trust this person. They are most likely a spy, or a Scientologist. Your jokes are terrible.

Been switching between several different Mastodon clients recently, trying to figure out what works best for us and so far, I think Tusker (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tusker/id1498334597) is the one which works the best for my own needs (and that of my wife) …

Some features are a bit harder to find, but the overall app shows a level of care and consideration that indicates that this is an app which has been in development over time and that the developer uses the app personally. It has a lot of the features that I wanted and about the only major thing it’s missing is the ability to edit posts.

I’m using it on macOS as a Catalyst app and there are some minor personal niggles of mine on macOS, but since the source is available, I’ll be making the changes myself (and sharing with the author if they would like to add it to the main app).

For the time being, I think I’m sorted πŸ˜›
