I'm a bit of an eclectic mess ๐Ÿ™‚ I've been a programmer, journalist, editor, TV producer, and a few other things.

I'm currently working on my second novel which is complete, but is in the edit stage. I wrote my first novel over 20 years ago but then didn't write much till now.

I post about #Coding, #Flutter, #Writing, #Movies and #TV. I'll also talk about #Technology, #Gadgets, #MachineLearning, #DeepLearning and a few other things as the fancy strikes ...

Iโ€™ve dabbled with three different #StableDiffusion GUIs over the last few months (in addition to the ones I coded myself, of course ..). They are:
1. Automatic1111: https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui
2. InvokeAI: https://github.com/invoke-ai/InvokeAI
3. Stable Diffusion UI: https://github.com/cmdr2/stable-diffusion-ui

Personally for me, Automatic1111 has always been harder to get working right. Something or other will break in terms of dependencies, or it will take way too much effort to get working right. So thatโ€™s kind of out of the running.

The other two install easily on both macOS and Windows and the installers work right and the GUI is nice in both. So Iโ€™ve been trying to decide between the two โ€ฆ

Just installed the latest InvokeAI and it has a model manager which actually lets you do useful stuff via the WebUI and the decision seems an easy one โ€ฆ till of course, Stable Diffusion UI catches up ๐Ÿ˜›

โ€œThere are two seasons in Scotland. June and winter.โ€
โ€œIn Scotland, there's no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.โ€

Billy Connolly

I beg to differ. We had all four seasons today - rain, sunshine, hail, high winds, more sun, more showers. Heโ€™s right about the clothing though.

This scene in the afternoon near our local shore. Grass, seaweed, rocks, the sea, the cliffs and the clouded sky infused with palest gold. Brodie glowing in his fur coat.

moss on a redbud

Try saying it like a Victorian British exclamation of dismay: "Moss on a redbud, man! What is this country coming to??" ๐Ÿง

The tactical chicken response team was formed to handle unpredictable farm emergencies. Armed with their trusty tools and quick thinking, they successfully foiled a treacherous plot to steal the farmer's prized produce.

This weekend we had our national birdcount... Somewhere between 150-200 thousand people count their garden birds and report their results. One shocking outcome is the sharply decreasing number of beautiful like this one...

I don't have time to send individual messages, so please forgive me for resorting to a round robin.

"What big eyes you have!"

Taken in Spain, this is a lovely Collared Pratincole. While it appears to be taking a drink of water, it may also be foraging for waterborne insects.

It was dawn at the Avon Pier on North Carolina's Outer Banks. The sun had not yet reached the horizon but was already casting it's orange glow as the sky began to lighten. Each morning is unique in it's own way!

This soft pastel bird portrait is one of my more whimsical pieces from last year's portfolio. I call it 'Curious Ostrich' because I think it fits the expression on the bird's face.

See this artwork in my online gallery at https://mm-anderson.pixels.com/featured/curious-ostrich-mm-anderson.html or one of the other sites in my profile.
