The big cake is blueberry cheesecake. The slices are strawberry cheesecake and blueberry cheesecake. The bakery made a mistake - that slice of blueberry cheesecake was supposed to be a slice of chocolate fudge cake. Alas.

My birthday lunch was mee goreng. It was good, but not as good as the mee goreng we got at a hole-in-the-wall cafe in Johor Bahru, Malaysia a few blocks from where we lived in 2014-2015. From what I recall, it cost us around USD 2 or 3, so cheap, too. And so so good.

We visited the town of Djúpivogur in eastern Iceland. I just loved coming across these little towns with colorful streets. This building is one of the oldest commercial buildings in Iceland dating to the 1790's.
