I mentioned to my girlfriend that I needed to stop at a used bookstore. She asked why I couldn’t just read one of the hundreds of unread books already on my shelves. She’s a very nice person and we’ve managed to stay together despite her blurting out bat shit crazy stuff like this on occasion. I imagine I have my issues, too.

I wanted to do some engagement comparisons between Mastodon, T2, and Threads but unfortunately, the character counts foil me 😛

On T2, you get a limit of 280 chars, on Threads 500, and here (on Akkoma) I can have an 8,000 char long post …

In that respect T2 is the hardest to get the full post/intent across on for me.

I know I love those prompts that are like "show your OC's weird, hidden talent" or "What is your OC's favourite fictional character?"

I tried looking for tags but was surprised to see that tags like OCprompt and characterdevelopment and such seem to not have had much use for this sort of purpose. o:

Watching the movie Tarla about a woman who becomes a cooking teacher. I'm less than halfway in, and I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to it than that, but that's where it's at right now.
