Note to self: this summer you gotta finish Link’s Awakening to justify the purchase of Echoes of Wisdom

@cdf1982 Yes you do!!

My son adores that game and we have played though probably 4 times now. It’s too hard for him, but he still also plays it a lot. He’s pretty excited about this next one.

@mattiem I’m excited too, it looks so good and the new mechanic for creating objects and enemies fighting by your side is Nintendo at its best! Also, I very much prefer being Zelda than Link!

And reassure your son, that game was too hard for me as well, I don’t remember exactly where I got stuck after quite some progress (I remember a section in the lower right corner of the map, swimming… gotta refresh my memory next weekend and possibly ask for help)

@cdf1982 The difficulty was quite high! Puzzles were hard and combat was not easy.

I’m playing tunic now. All games need very easy modes. It doesn’t take away from the game it’s the opposite! I really do not understand it.

@mattiem @cdf1982 Totally agree that all games need a very easy mode 🙂 We (my wife and I) play because we enjoy the story in a game and want to find out more. But when combat (even in easy mode) makes it impossible to proceed beyond a certain point, we usually give up on the game.

I too don’t understand why it’s so difficult for most game developers to cater to those of us who just don’t enjoy playing the same level over and over just to get through it …
