I think the key mistake writers make when trying to emulate Douglas Adams is that they try to emulate Douglas Adams himself and not Wodehouse, who Adams channelled gloriously, but in spaaace.

@rakontisto For me, the trouble is that I'm often accused of trying to emulate Adams when I'm actually trying to emulate Pratchett 🙂

@f I really do feel like the best way to do homage to a beloved artist is to do homage to the artists *they* revered, so you end up parallel rather than pastiche.
