@helplessduck hmmmโฆ what is that? Does it still have that suffocating flavor of dismal hopelessness?
Put steel-cut oats and some other stuff (like yogurt, frozen fruit, and honey -I like to do layers like a parfait) in a mason jar with enough almond milk to cover it and leave it in the cooler, overnight.

@helplessduck i am skeptical. It seems like a waste of perfectly good ingredients. the oats will only spread their abominable flavorโฆ
They take on a chewy texture, flavored with whatever you put in there with them. It has to be steel-cut oats. None of that instant oat garbage. That's not even fit for pigs.

Disagree. Seven hours, minimum.
WITH HONEY AND BERRIES!
I put bourbon in one once. That was a nice hair of the dog... ๐

@Laurie @helplessduck but I donโt.
Yah, it was... interesting. Good bourbon and only a splash (think two teaspoons). It gave it a really nice smoky, vanilla profile. I don't heat my overnights, so it definitely had a tiny bit of alcohol in it. I don't think I'll do it again. The bourbon factor makes it kinda expensive.
