I stepped on an unstable surface and went down. Wow that will make you feel old and infirm. My back hurts; I fell partially on a concrete curb. If it feels like this now, an hour later, I bet tomorrow and the next day will be really rough.
I had to really fight tears, which surprised me. There wasn't much pain, but my eyes were still burning with the need to cry. I wonder if that is common.
All of this comes with an extra side of anxiety. My mother had multiple sclerosis. Hers moved very slowly, but it did eventually take her ability to walk. Odds are that I won't ever have it. But when something like this happens, that old worry creeps in.
It's more likely that this is related to something else, like blood pressure meds. Which is its own kind of "Oh, yay."
@AngelaPreston I'm sorry I hope you feel better soon
@Loukas Thank you!
@AngelaPreston Youch! Iβm sorry for your pain, I hope you have a swift recovery. Back pain is never fun.
@jarg0n Thank you! I'm enjoying some anti-inflammatories now and am feeling better.
@AngelaPreston @Loukas Be well and be careful!
@JohnShirley2023 Thanks! I'm going to take it pretty easy for the rest of today.
@AngelaPreston I get the urge to cry when that happens, itβs the shock more than anything. Hope you donβt feel too bad!
@aegir Thank you, I'm glad to know it's not just me!
@AngelaPreston sorry to hear that you fell. Falling does great wonders to remind one of their mortality. I hate falling too
@BsCreativeLife You're exactly right. I was definitely reminded of my mortality.
@f Thank you! I am feeling more like myself now!
@AngelaPreston
Totally understand your caution and anxiety; however, I've somehow managed to spend my life in a series of unfortunate pratfalls. This started decades ago, so if you're unharmed physically, you're good to go!! π»
@MKSinSA That makes me feel a lot better!
