Started tinkering with an app idea a few weeks back and by the time I had it ready for a friend beta I’ve sort of lost the vision and I’m doubting where - if anywhere - to go with it. That deflating feeling. 🙁

@jefframes Would it be something you would use in your day to day life? Perhaps a way to tweak it so it feels interesting angain and something you want to go the extra mile and finish.

@jefframes Do you use the app yourself?

I had the opposite trajectory with an app that I'm working on at the moment. I created a very simple app that I didn't think had much appeal for most people just so that my nephew could have something which generates infinite puzzles.

But now that I'm working on it and using it, I see ways to improve things and to add more features. Not sure if I'll actually do it or not, but using it and testing it made me see new possibilities ...

@Alexjusino yes, it is! But part of what took the wind out of my sails was discovering a (somewhat popular) app that isn’t really the same but could fit my main use case fairly well. So I’m trying to think of how I could lean into the other pieces of it in a meaningful way.

@blainesolomon it’s one of those ideas that fills a need for me. But I’ve become a little less sure about the aspects that make it unique. Still seems valuable, but there are existing options that’d cover the core need I had.

@f I saw you post about that and it looked very promising to me!

And honestly mine has only just now gotten stable enough (ie changing models and such) that I’d start using it. The plan for now is to use it a while and think of what I’d like to change. But I’m also waiting on some friends’ feedback on an internal beta. I always think silence == bad tho 😬

@jefframes Ah 🙂 Silence isn't necessarily bad though ... but I do feel the same way as a developer. They might just think that they like it and there are no issues ...

If you want more feedback (and the app will solve a need for me too) I'd be happy to test and provide feedback 🙂

@f thanks! I'll reach out when I get it ready enough to be in a public TF. It may be something you'd find interesting.
