I’m pretty sure this has been talked about here before, but I can’t find the information at the moment. What is a decentralized word processing app that would be an alternative to Google Docs?

@bernicecbc Have you looked at LibreOffice? It works on all three main desktop platforms, is compatible with a lot of existing office suite formats, and is totally free πŸ™‚

@bernicecbc I haven't tried it yet, but saw a link to this French government project on the weekend https://docs.numerique.gouv.fr

Another vote for LibreOffice. Happy longtime user here. It opens and edits MS Word docs just fine, also you can save anything as a new .doc or .docx file. Simple, free, opensource!
