Fantasy, SciFi readers:

My fam has a monthly book club, it's my turn to pick a book. Looking for suggestions.

Must be < 500 pages. And a GREAT read. A recent book (last few years) is best, less chance someone has read it.

This month, we are reading "Iron Widow". Fantastic book.

Any recommendations? Please and thank you!

@davemark Would it be cheating to suggest my own book? πŸ™‚

It's humorous science fiction, and is under 500 pages. I think it's a great read, but I might be biased πŸ˜€

@davemark

How to live safely in a science fictional universe

Charles Yu

Those that seek out fantasy other worlds might find this a bit plain clothes.

@davemark a few years old at this point but even more relevant given the state of the climate:

The Ministry for the Future
by Kim Stanley Robinson.

@davemark the tainted cup by Robert Jackson Bennett (this year, 400ish pages) https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/150247395 like if you crossed knives out, Sherlock holmes, and a fantasy world, but that doesn’t really even start to describe it πŸ˜€
