What I wanted to do was try my hand at doing a landscape and I learnt a lot of things that I should improve upon and a few things that would be useful. But overall, I don't feel as if I did the idea justice.

@f were you working from a reference image?

@phanjam I was working off a sketch from a book on oil painting but then went off in my own direction once I'd done the initial bits 🙂

@f I read somewhere that it helps to "paint what you see, not what you remember." I know this sounds like the equivalent of "tracing", but if you can consider it practice I think it can be helpful.
