"Samsung to Begin Rolling Out Hotel Room TVs With AirPlay Support for iPhone and iPad"
That gives us Samsung and LG, happy that AirPlay is making headway in hotel rooms.
I've yet to stay in a hotel that had one of these new TVs. Have to wait for hotels to have the budget to refit their TVs. That can take a while.
But still, a great feature, would definitely shift to a hotel that had it.

@davemark I have a HomePod as a hub at home and don’t hesitate taking my physical Apple TV box on my travels. Fortunately it’s nice and small, and the experience is solid and reliable. And now that Apple added the WiFi captivate login capability on the box, it’s perfect. A good holdover until these hotels flip.
I do wonder though if the slower chip speed of these TVs will make performance worse. Might we still want to bring the box with us 🤔?
@davemark Personally, I wish we could just get to Matter Casting which works with everything. AirPlay is just the modern wireless iPod dock
@ravi Interesting. I’ve yet to experience this in real life. Is it as fast, as stutter free as AirPlay?
