@mrcippy Was wondering about the process on mastodon when this kind of thing hits. There any kind of preventative measures to take? Or is this the cost of living in the federation?

@mrcippy @davemark I believe you can report them to the admins of the server they are on and if the admins don’t take action, report the server to your server admin so that (possibly) that server can be blocked …

But personally, I just block the person and move on. There’s only so much time available to do stuff 😛

@davemark Don’t think so? I blocked that account, but afraid it’ll just be whack a mole. Maybe there’s a way to report the accounts to their instance… but not 100% on that.

@mrcippy @davemark there absolutely is. The instance mods can ban or shutdown the account.
