Many people would say learning to draw/paint in your mid to late 40s is too late or pointless. I don’t think so. I’m more patient now than when I was younger. And if I take time to learn to draw in my forties and fifties, then I’ll be able to enjoy myself and produce my best ever art in my sixties, seventies, eighties, and nineties, with all my creativity and life experience. I’m looking forward to the art I’ll produce when I’m older.

@Herstory it’s never too late to try new things, learn new skills etc. Whether it’s running, playing violin, painting, cooking, a new language or a few… while one is still alive, it’s a perfect time to learn something new.

@Herstory Personally, I don't think it's ever too late to learn new stuff 🙂 My wife started learning to draw a few months back and personally, I think she's doing great! (She sometimes begs to differ ...) We are both probably a bit older than you and so my point was that you can start learning something new at any point in your life and if anybody tells you otherwise, just ignore 'em 😛
