I'm a bit of an eclectic mess πŸ™‚ I've been a programmer, journalist, editor, TV producer, and a few other things.

Love mobile development, AR/VR/XR, and all forms of digital creativity where you use AI to generate art, text, and music.

Stinson Beach Sunset

This panoramic image of A Stinson Beach Sunset is somewhat of a rarity. Stinson Beach sites about 45 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge in western Marin County. The reason a Stinson Beach Sunset is somewhat of a rarity is that the cold Pacific Waters promote fog throughout most of the year. Blue Fog - sometimes it is so foggy at the lake that you cannot see across. This was one of those days. I love moody weather.

I was thrilled to spot this Eastern Towhee singing it's heart out in the Ash Tree in Guelph Ontario Canada as it was only my second time seeing one. It is strikingly beautiful with bold colors of rufous, sooty black and white.

A winter visitor, the stick insect. The elegant and discreet structure of head and eyes (you really don't want these to be obvious if you're pretending to be something with no head and no eyes) is pretty amazing.

Two choices, portrait or landscape for the delicate, lacy new fern fronds of the Japanese Painted Fern which are stunning in burgundy and olive green. These lacy, red stemmed beauties are one of my favorite ferns!

In Nov 2019, I went to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico with a couple of friends. Aside from losing my phone in the Pacific Ocean, it was a great trip. Near the end, we bought one of those floaty thingies - three 40-something men sharing one floaty and getting bowled over by big waves. Good times! This is a shot from a sunset cruise we went on one evening.

My latest sale came about because someone had seen an image of mine taken of Tunnels Beach in Kauai and it was his (and his wife's) favorite beach in world and he would like a framed print of it. After a bit of discussion, we decided metal would be best and he ordered a 48-inch-wide metal print of this panorama.

Behind hedges and overgrowth, lies the Cimetière des Légendes. A collection of 1950s/1960s French cars, rusting and falling apart as decades pass.

FYI all my photos have a supporting blog article and additional photos on my website. Although I may not always include it with every toot, if you want a link let me know and I will share it.

You can check out more cars and read the for this one over here https://www.obsidianurbexphotography.com/leisure/cimetiere-des-legendes-lost-panhard-france/

The macaws are such beautiful and colorful birds. This bluebird of happiness, a Hyacinth Macaw, was eating his veggies when I snapped his picture. Added a little texture to highlight his beautiful plumage. HERE: https://hhphotography.pixels.com/featured/hyacinth-macaw-hh-photography-of-florida.html

It looks like it's time for me to do another #introduction since the husband @fahim and I are on a new instance that's just for us. He's been dabbling with various ones for the last month, but we think we're settled. This one is #akkoma, not #mastodon, and if you have technical questions, ask him.

I'm working on becoming an artist, hence all the artwork and tutorial posts. I mainly do digital on my iPad using Procreate, and at some point soon want to learn how to use Rebelle.

I cook just about everything, but less so as my #disabled self loses mobility. I've lived in a bunch of countries. I'm a hobbyist photographer. I'm a Canuck and I'm married to a Sri Lankan who I met over the Internet. And I've been on the Internet since before it was called the Internet.

I am equal parts weird, boring, tired, eclectic, and what the heck.

Hiya!

Mountain View
2023-01-08 day 209 of doing art every day for a year (mostly - I took sick days off).

This is another Tatyworks tutorial. This time, featuring a digital watercolour painting. She gets the canvas effect with a canvas brush on the top layer.
