Thinking about doing something crazy like not taking any selfies in the month of February. I donโt know I feel like it might be good for me?
Some people believe there's no purpose to "liking" something on Mastodon since it doesn't affect any algorithm.
Not the case.
It does something incredibly valuable: it acknowledges people.
Which is incredibly powerful, and is all the more important *because* it's not connected to gaming any algorithm.
By liking something on Mastodon, you are doing it honestly -- without any agenda at play other than that you like it.
So go ahead. Click that like button for its own sake.

That moment you realise that the fern tree trunk is actually a collection of trapped souls looking at you with evil intent ๐.
Stephen Dunn took this incredible photograph with his flash illuminating a spider and revealing its wet web with a rainbow effect. ๐ฒ ๐
Just Past the Ice Cream Truck is the name of this Matt Beard painting.
I super wanted one of his poppy pieces but had missed out the year before.
I put in my request and waited patiently and was eventually rewarded with this piece.
Love, love the colors.
I am guessing by the name that he wasn't the only one there to see the poppy bloom.
Nowhere near Humboldt for sure.

โRรนm is a Scottish Gaelic name. It is one of the Small Isles of the Inner Hebrides in Scotland. For much of the 20th century the name became Rhum, a spelling invented by the former owner, Sir George Bullough, because he did not relish the idea of having the title โLaird of Rumโ.โ
Seen from Skye itโs a good twenty miles. It very often appears as a pale shadow in the mist. Sometimes it looks as though you could reach out and touch it. Today it drifted beyond my reverie.
Junk marketing: DE MODE Magazine is soliciting authors on Facebook and Instagram, offering inclusion in an UNPUTDOWNABLE BOOKS FOR 2023 article for $200. Here's the one I received #WriterBeware #WritingCommunity
#ThrowbackThursday // Hiking the distinctive jagged peaks of the #TombstoneMountains way up north in #Canada's #YukonTerritory was an experience I'll never forget.
Along with 4 of my best mates we hiked the wild, desolate, alpine meadows and loose, rocky slopes of the peaks surrounding #GrizzlyLake, always in the shadow of the dominating form of Mt. Tombstone.
