Laurie Ashton Farook

Watching the movie Tarla about a woman who becomes a cooking teacher. I'm less than halfway in, and I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to it than that, but that's where it's at right now.

Here's the movie: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt27816768/

And here's a link to real life Tarla Dalal's website with more than 20,000 recipes, which is the spoiler for there being a lot more to the story! https://www.tarladalal.com

In the movie, she invents Gobi 65, which is essentially chicken 65 but with cauliflower. Heaven knows both are fabulous.

I am going to have to spend serious time browsing her recipes. Like so much time.

@acm_redfox I take it you haven't had it? Yes. And at least a hundred different ways to make it.

@acm_redfox the story I've heard is that there are 65 ways to make it, hence the name, but there are, apparently, at least 65 different stories about the origin of the name, so I don't know.

I've had it a bunch of ways. My favourite was from an Indian cafe in Sandringham in New Zealand. Battered, deep fried, served in a gravy.
