I made Japanese milk bread (Hokkaido method) into rolls from scratch. First try. Be nice!

They're not evenly sized because I don't own any kitchen scales, but I did my best.

Tip: Use and trust a thermometer to determine bread doneness. Usually you're looking for an internal temperature of about 208°F or 97°C.

Pan: fat daddios (4")

@Fawn Thank you for the tip, I always wondered about that, and I usually just go visually with the color, but using a thermometer makes a lot of sense. Your bread looks perfect, I'll try it!

@nuz

Thank you! My husband and I were squishing them down and watching them rise back up like an edible squishmallow lol They're very springy.

@Fawn I love the texture on those! I'm not a huge fan of Joshua Weissman's video style, but I'll check out the recipe, those look great! 😋

@TonyaMarie

Thanks! I hadn't heard of him before. Googling (DDG 🦆) Japanese milk bread brought up his video from years ago. Rolls sounded better than a loaf. The rest is history.

Good luck on your bake! 💕
