@DaNanner Where I live in Canada they removed the mask mandate even in hospitals. It's horrifying. People have legitimately lost their minds.

@DaNanner Yup. Went to get a blood test this week, not a single staff or civilian at the hospital was masked, except me and eventually the phlebotomist. I know 6 people who've caught Covid in the past month, many for the first time, and a couple are still ill.
Just because you want to pretend it's not a big deal, doesn't make it so.

@DaNanner We still don't even have a concrete rollout for this year's booster shot. It's scary and frustrating.

@DaNanner My understanding is the original shot & booster are no longer effective due to mutations, and a brand new shot/booster is being worked on.

But like, it's frustrating to me that getting a yearly flu shot is no big deal but asking about a yearly COVID shot is met with blank stares.

@DaNanner I will likely mask until the end of time. I'm high risk and have had Covid 5 or six times in the last year and a half, despite vaccines, boosters, masking, not being within 6 feet of people, and hand washing a ridiculous number of times.

@DaNanner yeah, I'm a magnet. I seem to catch it about every three months. I'm due any time as it happens.
