Hello fellow Denizens!

Here is my #introduction (Sept 2023 edit):

My name is Stephanie and I’m also ok with Steph or pixie. I love cats so feel free to mute cat-related hashtags if it’s too much.

I’m a 40-something Canadian white cis lesbian/queer woman (she/her) who loves art (I do some digital art), animation (I adore the show Arcane), soccer (especially watching NWSL), animals (particularly cats like my mini panther Ava 🐈‍⬛), video games (Red Dead Redemption 2, FIFA/EAFC, Assassin’s Creed, Cities Skylines, The Sims4), reading cheesy lesbian romance novels (recently expanding to sci-fi lesbian romance 😜) and learning about other people’s nerdy obsessions.

I’ve never been evaluated for autism but I think it’s likely that I am autistic. I gravitate to autistic people and have been learning more about autism and about disability advocacy in general.

I do my best to be inclusive and make my posts as accessible as possible and I am open to being shown a better way.

Some beliefs: I am gender inclusive, pro abortion, pro vaccines, anti-policing, anti-racist, anti-fascist.

I believe we all have the right to access healthcare, housing, food, education, transportation and all our accessibility needs without having to rely on income. I believe this world of community care is possible even if I have tendencies to be a loner.

It can be a little crunchy to get your head around, but the community you’re able to build here is wonderful - it reminds me of the early days of tumblr, or DeviantArt when it was super focussed on relationships rather than dollarbucks.

Hashtags go a long way, both for sharing and finding content. And check out your federations feed as well as your own for finding neat folks.

Yes, I'm into digital art. I have zero formal training and really only started in earnest less than a year ago. I mainly use #Procreate on my iPad, and there are a ton of tutorials for it, which are hugely useful. I have #Rebelle on my Mac, but being on a Mac, it's less convenient, so haven't used it much. What do you use?
