In official speeches where people speak more slowly and deliberately, I can follow it quite well, but conversational speech? Fugeddaboudit.
I used to follow a Norwegian blogger who once said that to Norwegians, Danish sounds like barnyard animals talking, and i think that pretty much nailed it.

@ianmnoone I follow Kelly Louise Killjoy over on Instagram as she often posts a comedy skit about the Nordic languages in a language class. She also occasionally posts fully in Danish and my brain cannot parse a damn thing 😶🌫️
