Got an important communication from the youngest grandkid.
It seems they bought too much vanilla ice cream again.
The best solution would be for grandma to bake pies.
I wish all problems were solved so easily.
I tried to make a dahlia themed pie, but it didn't work out too well.
Pretty sure they will eat it anyway.

Apple. I am pretty sure they taste good, but still too hot to test. We always wait until they have cooled down. The house smells fabulous. There are three grandkids and their parents. I will be surprised if the pie makes it past the first round.

I need to make pie soon. I'm thinking blueberry.

I looked for cherries today with no luck. I had leftover granny smith and a few honeycrisp apples. I am the only one here who will eat blueberry, so I only make a small one occasionally.

@norcalgrandma OK, we are all going to buy lots of vanilla ice cream and come to your house and you can make us all some of your wonderful pie. :-)

@norcalgrandma my husband loves blueberry, so I'm lucky. :) I don't make pies very often at all - I'm chronically ill and exhausted, so it has to be a good energy day, especially since I can't buy pie crust where I am so that's not even an option.
