while transplanting, i came across the tiniest little starfruit sproutling!!

this sproutling grew from seed i planted from some starfruit i ate. you can still see the seed on it, but you can also see the first few leaves. these tiny leaves are already similar to the leaves of larger starfruit plants. all the pieces are there: seed, root, stem, leaves.

it's just so cute & perfect & it came from a tiny seed that came from a fruit i ate!! it's just all so beautiful!! i get verklempt!

@plants @mk30 one place where we lived in Sri Lanka, our back garden neighbours had a star fruit tree. The branches hung over into our yard by quite a bit, so I'd pick star fruit by the dozens when they were in season. :)

We also got some Jack fruit from the same neighbours. :)
